Pros
- Remote/in-office hybrid: You are almost never required to be in the office though. It is up to you how much or how little you're in the office. - A TRUE SCRUM shop: Most Dev shops say they use scrum but GoReact actually does and does it right. - Great support and work/life balance: If you want to see your kids soccer game, go see it. - Unlimited PTO and they actually push you to use it. They want you to take at least 15 days off per year and if you don't they will let you know that you need to take more time off. - Competitive pay and good benefits - Challenging work that keeps you interested and enjoying your job with good support for when you get stuck. - Always moving towards updating the technology with bi-weekly "Product Stability" days that allow us to work on upgrading the system and making it more enjoyable to work in.
Cons
Covid has had some interesting affects on the company and has been negative at times. This has led to the company losing some of their workforce and they have not replaced them as they have left. This has lead to some reconfiguration of the teams and reducing the opportunity for advancement. Hopefully this will improve as the world makes adjustments to post-pandemic life. We also have a significant part of our product team outsourced to the Philippines. The people we work with currently are doing a good job but the offsetting time zones makes for some interesting challenges at times. I have not really experienced this myself but I have heard that as people have moved up, their compensation hasn't always been increased enough to match the increased responsibility.
