Pros

- Remote/in-office hybrid: You are almost never required to be in the office though. It is up to you how much or how little you're in the office. - A TRUE SCRUM shop: Most Dev shops say they use scrum but GoReact actually does and does it right. - Great support and work/life balance: If you want to see your kids soccer game, go see it. - Unlimited PTO and they actually push you to use it. They want you to take at least 15 days off per year and if you don't they will let you know that you need to take more time off. - Competitive pay and good benefits - Challenging work that keeps you interested and enjoying your job with good support for when you get stuck. - Always moving towards updating the technology with bi-weekly "Product Stability" days that allow us to work on upgrading the system and making it more enjoyable to work in.

Cons

Covid has had some interesting affects on the company and has been negative at times. This has led to the company losing some of their workforce and they have not replaced them as they have left. This has lead to some reconfiguration of the teams and reducing the opportunity for advancement. Hopefully this will improve as the world makes adjustments to post-pandemic life. We also have a significant part of our product team outsourced to the Philippines. The people we work with currently are doing a good job but the offsetting time zones makes for some interesting challenges at times. I have not really experienced this myself but I have heard that as people have moved up, their compensation hasn't always been increased enough to match the increased responsibility.

Pros

- The quality of the people who work there is very high - Interesting problems to solve - Good processes for remote work - Flexible PTO

Cons

- Compensation is mediocre at best - Raises are very small if you even get one - You can't work remote from anywhere, must be specific states - Claims of "transparency" from leadership are not accurate, too much sweeping things under the rug - Very little diversity, a common thing in a Utah company

Pros

GoReact has had its ups and downs but overall the people here really just want to do great work and do the right thing. There is healthy debate and teamwork to find the right thing. Differing opinions are valued but rightly analyzed. Leadership genuinely cares and encourages openness.

Cons

Honestly hard to put anything here, but I guess one downside is not a ton of upward career path mobility as company’s overall employee growth has been relatively slow. They definitely take care of their people. But if you want to be a VP or earn the right to more responsibility it’s slower than probably other places.
