Pros

Great Mission, Genuine benefit to community, New Hires in Retail Management ( Director of Retail) could make a good place to work into a great place to work. An active second chance employer. Programs are community life savers and the desire to make a difference is real and actionable.

Cons

Poor Management in retail segment. 21 retail stores in local area chapter have at best mediocre management with a few notable standouts and inexperienced retailers at the store level. Any previous retail experience an actual hindrance to success. Company is still shell shocked with sales deficit due to a bed bug scare last summer and have tried draconian measures to recapture lost sales volume. Work life balance for management is non existent. The company recently trimmed all full time retail associates to 35 hours while maintaining the same staffing models. This just stretches the small retail teams further adding a new level of difficulty in attaining sales objectives.
