Pros

Decent upper management. You did receive employee discounts on already cheap items. Able to learn about products since they are constantly changing and you don't see the same thing every day. Everyone is very friendly. (I only had problems with one manager.. but every business has something!) I loved what I did and the people I was around, but I had to leave when I found a better paying offer. You can't stay in retail all your life!

Cons

Softlines production/hardlines production/donations attendant is very repetitive but you have a co-worker across the table to be able to talk to for most of the day. Sales associates get a decent amount put on their shoulders. They are checking people out, putting softlines/hardlines away when they are not busy at the registers. Rotating out old inventory. Organizing items. Helping customers. It is a decent amount, but usually not too hard to handle. If you get backed up they would usually send people out from the back. Pay is decent for retail, hard to get full-time status.

Pros

There is not a single "pro" to be listed.

Cons

The entire corporate office is beyond ignorant. Completely out of touch with reality, price gouging customers trying to raise profit margins for the non profit. Everyday at any second one call from corporate and there is a change to how everything has to be done, usually causing more issues only to blame people who had nothing to do with their ideas. They don't let the store manager be a store manager.. in fact, I'll sum up everything you need to know in one sentence.. they went as far as to install systems to remotely control the thermostat from their comfy corporate office. Imagine not just the employees but the customers constantly complaining. That is how out of touch with reality they all are.
