Pros

Overall I enjoyed working there, the environment was good, had decent starting wages and benefits. I like their job connections program and mission statement and what they are able to do for people, it gives the company value and meaning as they are non-profit. Got along well with all my coworkers and most of the customers, all the regulars.

Cons

I was there for almost two years and feel lucky enough just to have had a job during the pandemic. There were so many people who I saw come and go, most of which didn't finish training or didn't feel like it was the right fit for them. Closer to the end of my time there, I felt as if certain tasks weren't be delegated equally and that management was not doing as well. In the time I worked as a cashier, we lost many supervisors, one assistant manager, three different lead cashiers, and two managers. After I left I still kept in touch with some of my old coworkers and it seemed like it was just progressively getting worse, its just turned into a huge mess over there. Nothing like how it was when I first started, however, I do hope it gets better.

Cons

The entire corporate office is beyond ignorant. Completely out of touch with reality, price gouging customers trying to raise profit margins for the non profit. Everyday at any second one call from corporate and there is a change to how everything has to be done, usually causing more issues only to blame people who had nothing to do with their ideas. They don't let the store manager be a store manager.. in fact, I'll sum up everything you need to know in one sentence.. they went as far as to install systems to remotely control the thermostat from their comfy corporate office. Imagine not just the employees but the customers constantly complaining. That is how out of touch with reality they all are.
