Pros

Great healthcare and dental care if you're full time. Awesome benefits besides that: You can take out loans with them will basically 0% interest (once per year, up to $250). They really care about their employees, when my mom's house burnt down, they gave her a big gift card, even though I didn't live with her. They really do help the community, they have programs to train you for job skills, english as a second language classes, citizenship classes, and the list goes on. This is the only company I have ever worked for that I would actually suggest people work for; Ive worked for 7 different corporations. It's hard to get fired, they make allowances for people with disabilities more than I've seen anywhere else. The team atmosphere is really healthy.

Cons

*Starting pay is minimum wage, that's not enough for this job *Do not apply here if you want an easy job, it's not. I was a lead cashier and trained people all over the store, most people quit after two weeks, but those who don't, stay for years. *Management has no idea what they're doing most of the time *customers are horrendous. I mean it. Out of all the customer service jobs I have worked, nowhere have a been verbally abused as much as at goodwill. These customers are mean, and scrappy. HAVE THICK SKIN if you apply.

Great pay, good team, flexibility and decent work

Cons

Dusty sometimes and some of the stuff can be gross but that's just part of working at a thrift store, having to handle that stuff

Pros

There is not a single "pro" to be listed.

Cons

The entire corporate office is beyond ignorant. Completely out of touch with reality, price gouging customers trying to raise profit margins for the non profit. Everyday at any second one call from corporate and there is a change to how everything has to be done, usually causing more issues only to blame people who had nothing to do with their ideas. They don't let the store manager be a store manager.. in fact, I'll sum up everything you need to know in one sentence.. they went as far as to install systems to remotely control the thermostat from their comfy corporate office. Imagine not just the employees but the customers constantly complaining. That is how out of touch with reality they all are.
