Pros

Compared to other ski resorts, employee housing (at Driggs) is really good (new houses, rooms for one person with a private bathroom for $450 a month). The work itself, as well as pay ($15 h) was similar to other hotels but you have free skiing, also in nearby ski areas, and some other perks.

Cons

The HR is pretty harsh and irrational. They issue disciplinary working or fire people for relatively minor reasons, even if they cannot find replacement. We had a shortage of housekeeping staff due to this policy.

Great Place to ski, good community, relatively affordable.

Cons

Below average pay relative to industry standards across multiple departments. Poor communication/effectiveness of HR to provide employees with timely, accurate and supportive measures. The owner/GM is not fit to lead and/or communicate/operate a "world-class resort". In almost 25 years of working in the outdoor/customer service industry, his demeanor is by far the most unprofessional/disrspectful and appalling I've encountered. Whether you are looking to begin a career in this industry or looking to advance, I would highly discourage employment at this resort.
