Pros
Great Lakes Cheese may be a large company, but it still has a small-company feel. The management team, directors, and managers are all accessible, friendly and genuinely interested in how you're impacting the company. That's incredibly rare at most large organizations. You will flourish at GLC if you have an entrepreneurial spirit, enjoy owning your own projects, and excel at working cross-functionally to accomplish goals. Teamwork is actively encouraged. This is not a dog-eat-dog company in the slightest and that's part of the reason it's so special. Lastly - work/life balance is exceptional. Flexibility is important and managers recognize that.
Cons
Due to the company's entrepreneurial spirit - not as many processes or training opportunities are in place as their should be. Lack of process can sometimes lead to frustration.
