Pros

Other lifeguards are fun to work with, you have the opportunity to make an impact

Cons

Toxic management and leadership/supervisors above you. Inconsistent scheduling, bad staffing, and toxic work environment. If you want to work here, especially don’t get involved with leadership. Do your job, make friends at the same level as you, and go home. I’ve had the displeasure of knowing my managers and supervisors and they are the meanest and fakest people you will ever meet outside of high school. They make it seem like they care about the lifeguards, but when you offer feedback management will not listen. They only see change as necessary if it makes their jobs easier. They talk behind your backs and will hold grudges. I have seen them talk down and talk badly to other lifeguards that are very undeserving of the bad treatment and when it’s pointed out it never changes. Especially if you are a person of color, they will never let you win. Going above and beyond will do nothing but hurt you mentally and emotionally down the line. You should never work a job where you’re not being represented by likeminded people like yourself. I’m so glad I left this job and I feel bad for my peers that still have to deal with the toxic work environment.

Pros

-Friendly staff. -Ocassionally free food. -Opportunities for promotion if you are willing to move out of the state. -Great learning opportunities due to there only being 2 IT staff at each site. This is at the cost of being overworked and underpaid.

Cons

-Toxic upper management, specifically GM. -Profits above all else, even if it takes burning you out and pushing you to leave when you are no longer useful. -Executive level IT management is extremely harsh. Typical fake nicities until a mistake is made, then you are put on the cross for it in front of your peers.
