Pros
The pay rate is good. The Rockville office is pretty. There's always candy in the front desk bowl.
Cons
Office culture is sexist and alcoholic. Male engineers can show up in cartoon sweatshirts and unkempt beards but women, almost all relegated to the marketing department but even if not, are expected to be at their best Barbie doll. You're expected to know exactly how they like things done without prior instruction. Snarky comments are made when you're new and get something like formatting a Word document slightly differently than preferred. Supervisors get drunk on company time and I witnessed a male married supervisor making out with a young female employee. If you have personal dignity and do not happen to be an extrovert who loves to drink, or if you happen to be a woman who cares more about the quality of your work than whether your makeup is applied good enough for your manager's standards, do not work here. It is belittling.
