Pros

Great colleagues/friends. Working in Health sector a plus.

Cons

NOTE: This my honest perspectives in hope to help future employees. Communication to me were lacking so I might have a few things wrong. - Changes: Greenway went through a lot of changes the last 3-4 years. At first it looked like an aggressive move towards future platforms but then it seems like legal challanges pivoted priorities back to legacy. And now it's mostly about surviving. - Lack of product vision: It is like there is no ownership in getting the overall product vision defined and communicated. A big next platform initiative were rushed with very little Product/Business planning and did not end well. - Constant priority changes: Constantly had to change gears. Today's important work get's shelved so to deal with a crises. Urgency frequently trumped strategy. - Layoffs: Layoffs in IT is a given as you adapt to markets and demand. But there is no reason not to be honest and not to strive for transparency. One layoff wave at Greenway come during the "Carrollton to Tampa move". A lot of folks were asked to move in order to keep their jobs. Greenway communicated it as not being a big layoff but very well knowing that only a few will opt to move. I still have the visual of an executive breaking the horrible news and then minutes afterwords stood there with two thumbs up and a smile. In Carrolton where a lot of loyal employees just realized they lost their livelihood. - Legal issues a distraction : Just google "9/sore-point-allegations-of-fraud-in-the-electronic-health-records-market" - Benefits: Not so good.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Greenway Health. We have undergone many changes in the last several years, as you mentioned. This included the unification of operations in Tampa in 2017. As part of that initiative, we did offer impacted employees the option to move to Tampa with relocation assistance. As far as priorities, our top priority is the success of our customers. We aim to deliver technology, services, and partnerships that support them and enable their success, and this does require us to change gears and adapt as circumstances change. We are sorry to hear of the experience you described — we value open, transparent communication in all aspects of our business.

Pros

Decent benefits, including unlimited PTO. Many of the individual contributors and lower-level team members are great to work with and genuinely care about doing good work.

Cons

Leadership is a major weakness. There is very limited career growth, compensation appears to be well below national and local market averages for similar technical roles, and bonus or compensation growth has been minimal. Strong work is often praised verbally but not meaningfully reflected in pay, advancement, or opportunity.
