Pros
I’ve seen a lot of change here, and I admit it felt disruptive at times. But today the company is far more structured, with clear roles and responsibilities across functions — something that wasn’t always the case when Guidewire had fewer employees. The benefits are solid, and the leadership team (along with a few managers I’ve worked with) is genuinely kind, grounded, and strong both technically and personally. Change naturally brings uncertainty, but with time things settle. The ownership and scope coming to India makes me feel proud to be part of this growth. It has helped my technical journey and given me real satisfaction in the work I do. One of my managers once told me: “Be consistent. Just because the reward didn’t come this year doesn’t mean your effort was wasted. It’s seen, and the right opportunities will come.” At Guidewire, I truly believe that.
Cons
I wanted to be part of many other interesting initiatives beyond my engineering work, but of course, I can’t be everywhere at once. 😄
