Pros

- Flexible work arrangements as far as location and RTO, and they allow for remote work in many positions - Despite the abrupt 180 the U.S. is taking on DEI, Guidewire continues to proudly and excellently reinforce its DEI initiatives! - Compensation is on par with other tech companies, and it is structured similarly (base+bonus+RSU) - Vast majority of people are genuinely nice, professional, and are trying to do the right thing

Cons

- Health insurance (Aetna) options could be better. - There aren't many processes defined, so working cross functionally requires time to establish your internal network of business partners before you can actually start delivering some value.

Pros

NA, can't think of anything positive anymore. It's a micromanaging mess.

Cons

Guidewire makes majors shift every 2 years and the last one to take PgM out of PD into its own department is a micromanaging nightmare. We have more status meetings and spreadsheets to update than time to do any work anymore. 3 places to update if I want to take PTO. 7am and 7pm meetings are now the norm. 6 bosses in 10 years, no one can make up their mind on the direction of the company, projects start and are abandoned constantly.
