Pros
Pay is ok, if you kiss their butt and end up being favored then you get to do as you please
Cons
They count all paid time off against you-days that are prescheduled. They allow the favorites to do things that the other people can’t. I was told I had to go to a company get together at a bar in the middle of the afternoon while my child was home sick with pneumonia yet my co worker was allowed to skip the event to go to the gym. I was told my child is old enough to stay home by themselves while sick yet another co worker had to work from home permanently because her partner was in a car accident and shattered her ankle (2years ago) so she can care for her “sick” girlfriend but I can’t care for my sick child. I was regularly marked down for calling in on days that I did not and when I pulled up my punch in punch out sheet to show I was there, they did not care. I was told many times I was late and again and I proved I was actually 16 minutes early that specific day, my boss stood right in front of me and talked about me to my co worker in Spanish. Little did she know I can speak Spanish. I could go on and on. But the worst part is these people are a bunch of drunks. Friday is the big day to get drunk in the office. Bottles of hard liquor, champagne stored in the break room to have on hand every Friday. I know of several loans that were messed up due to one specific underwriter getting drunk and Underwriting loans. I was made to feel like the odd man out pressured to drink every week when they knew I was going to be driving home 15 minutes after “the toast” and that I do not drink. Management likes to tell you what you want to hear and then turn on you as soon as they turn around. They have gone as far as making things up not just exaggerating the truth but completely making up lies to throw you under the bus
