Pros

The only Pro I can think of is that working here will make you a tough person, as it offers worst possible scenarios in every parameter!!! if you have worked here, you will find every other job a cakewalk!

Cons

one can write a book on cons this company have!! there are absolutely NO growth opportunities. NO Work-Life balance as shifts are for 10 hours! your social life gets ruined! cab will pick you up 2 hours prior to your shift and drop you home 2 hours after your shift gets over, so you spend 14 hours (10+2+2) of your day for this job. coz of night shifts one have to avail cab. worst transport staff and cab drivers! if by any chance you miss the call from transport or the cab driver, you are going to miss the cab, even if they know that you will be coming to office. absolutely NO ethics followed at the work place. every one just pass the buck to each other! I came across many B.Tech graduates from UP, Rajasthan and Haryana who were lured into the trap by this company promising them to shift to HCL Technologies after 6 months spent in the calling profile. this is absolutely False and unethical on part of Hcl Business services as there is no such scheme. They hire a large number of undergraduates and literally exploit them as they are offered just rs. 8600( in British Telecom process) for doing the same work that others do and get about 15-16000!(apart from overtime etc) You will be compelled to do OTs(overtime)..known as Forced OTs (FOT) At times, red beacons placed on the ceilings start flashing, signifying CRITICAL time, when the call volume increases. when this happens( almost everyday) you cant leave your seat even to answer a nature's call. If you are a heavy drinker/smoker than you can easily befriend your Team Leader here. British Telecom sends 5 pounds per hour as the compensation for a Technical Support Officer(TSO), but what a TSO actually gets is less than a pound per hour..when i came to know about this fact i was just miffed!! the explainations i got from the HR: you see, the company has to pay for AC,Cabs,Electricity etc..which company pays its electricity bill from its employee's salary: its HCL B-SERV!! these people are extremely clever!! they distribute your salary in different allowances so that they can contribute lesser amount of PF to the employees.. the list goes on and on and on...but i dont have the time to list them all you see....its just exploitation of employees in every way possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros

It is a job that pays you money

Cons

Where do I even begin.... HCl is a company that will overwork and underpay you and never give you a raise. I was lucky to get a very competitive wage when I started that I felt like I deserved and I fought for that. However even that process they bait and switched 3 times offering higher amounts over the phone and then going back on their word and offering less and less each time until they finally sent me an offer letter. The entire company is inept at communication at any and all levels. You will never get a raise and any time you have any kind of issue or need management/HR to do anything for you results in being ignored. Additionally they will add and add to your roles and responsibilities and ask for the impossible and unreasonable. They get contracts by underbidding other MSP's and then hiring as few people on site as possible and refer the rest of the work to overseas workers that will never do any work and always kick responsibility back to you. If you ever get lucky and they are forced to actually do their job they show that they clearly have no idea what they are doing or talking about. All around a terrible company to work for. If your job role is getting outsourced to HCL, fight for a good salary up front because they will never give you a raise and try to look for another place to work as soon as you can.
