Pros
If you are set with your upline then things are fine.
Cons
1. Things will remain fine till the time your upline is personally happy with you. The moment there is a slight rift then it would be better that you resign. 2. Please imagine that HR doesn't exists. I can do anything to my DR and no one will question. 3. God save you if your reporting manager or your project is based out of Chennai and you are at Noida or LKO location. All good opportunities will land in Chennai, growth will happen in Chennai, onshore opportunities will happen for Chennai and lastly, they would treat you like a dog put. 4. Including the so call HR, no one across level would know any policy for sure. For example, if I were to ask when my appraisal would be, there will be no confirmed answer. 5. It is been a year (11 months) with HCL and today I am uploading my goal sheet in the system for my appraisal. When that appraisal would take affect, only God would know. 6. This would be the only company which has around 8 levels of manager - AM, DM, M, SM, Group Manager, AGM, DGM and GM. I think they should add two more and call it a school. People working for 11 years and could reach to an AM level and salary so low that many entry level jobs are paying better. Really an embarrassment. As a people manager, I find it sometimes impossible to keep my team motivated.
