Pros
You get a paycheck, some PTO and the occasional pizza party/donuts.
Cons
A miserable place to be. Zero work-life balance. Highly toxic senior leadership. Micromanagement. Untrusting leaders who can’t do the job themselves, but won’t trust you to do it either. Office politics on who gets promoted. You’re just a number. Weekly forced fun. Under-appreciated and underpaid teams. Don’t expect to get anywhere close to your bonus payout, if any at all. Meetings to discuss meetings and for the sake of meetings. Unproductive and uninspiring. The supportive and talented leaders have all quit and moved on. Top talent has been lost across the business. Teams are not valued for the hard work and skills they bring. Senior leaders complain if you have a doctor’s appointment, or have to take care of your health or family during work hours. You’ll be asked to make appointments late Friday afternoon only. This is not a servant leadership environment or an enabling one. You’ll be expected to be a machine, while the senior leaders leave themselves to attend their family events and doctors appointments, you won’t be allowed to.
