Pros

The health benefits were great: the medical, dental, and vision insurance saved me a lot in out-of-pocket expenses, and I have two kids so that was a big help. A personal pro was my teaching myself to record progress on a project, something I use daily when measuring productivity on personal tasks. If one were super social, it was a great place to mix it up; if they were more aloof, nobody would bother them. The company values seemed to be important at the upper echelons of leadership; at the bottom, however, hardly anyone cared.

Cons

While the work was easy, management applied the pressure to wring more and more out of the reps to make up for the CONSTANT turnover phenomenon. The gossip and complaining from some senior reps (and management!) were at times exhausting. And management's micromanaging didn't help. It became clear very early that existing management in other departments favored years-long employees to newer people (those with the company even for a year) for recent openings, so it seemed difficult to imagine oneself growing in the company in a suitable role. On a petty note, they hired for my position a new rep, without basic academic credentials, starting them out at a higher base rate than mine, when I had been there for almost eighteen months. That was when I started submitting resumes.
