Pros

Most of the employees are great.

Senior leaderships only concern is for the stockholders and any customer who has been with HD for a length of time has noticed the complete disregard for any customer satisfaction or professional service to them. Only concern HD Supply has is making money for the stockholders and that is pretty much it. Lack of communication to employees or customers regarding important information or changes. As for their care for its sales team, they do everything possible to try to undermine them being able to achieve plan and when they don't, sales get threatened with a PIP. Serious issues all throughout the operations side which affected business and nothing is ever done to correct basic problems. No one is held accountable, except for the sales team. No support what-so-ever from District Managers or VP's on assisting to fix the problems. They are just keeping their heads in the sand long enough to retire and not offering any solutions. Used to have bonuses in the renovation goals where the reps would receive credit from contractors working at properties and purchasing products on their accounts. WITHOUT any communication, that ended with no relief or adjustment made to the goals. Senior Leadership asked for proof, which was given several times, and they never did anything with it.

There is job security if you can get past the cons.

They say they care; unless you request a pay raise, a future path, ask the why's to policies, or ask if they would be willing to do a hybrid shift if they are not going to subsidize gas with the prices right now. Jacksonville is very cliquish, If you make their favorite supervisor made, then all of leadership is mad at you. They will find a way to fire you if they so please instead of giving you a chance to make improvements. Health is not important to them. You will pay 1400 dollars a month in insurance for your family, and if you use it, then get ready for those co-pays, They offer tuition program, unless you would like to be reimbursed per their SOP. Do not fear! You will not get a pay raise for education acheivements
