Pros

Great place to work as an SDR. Product engages C-level execs, both on phone and by email. It's strange to go back and forth with the CXO of an enterprise SaaS company over the course of a few days/weeks, speaking the same language. Great onboarding process (Mannie!) and calculus for success through dialing (Ian!). Team is always happy to help out, both managers and other SDR's. Potential to smash it is borderline endless. Tons of titles/departments in an org could conceptually use HG, conveying this isn't the hardest sell out there. The art of the possible with HG's offering is strong and SDR's leverage this.

Cons

Cons of SDRing at HG are minimal. Gender split is bad (one girl in the US, one in the UK). Dial heavy culture (probably not a con for some). Org as a whole is going through growing pains. SDR's feel this to some extent, but you're fairly immune. The SDR engine hums along as it should while other departments try to figure it out. This presents an issue with promotion, though. After 12-24 months, you can push for commercial AE if you kill it as an SDR. Commercial AE's struggle for a myriad of reasons. Not super inspiring. If you want to go to a different department or business unit, it’s on you to figure it out. Not impossible to do, but close enough to mention. SDR talent usually takes AE promotion for the title/experience or leaves at this point.

Pros

Working here as a Senior Software Engineer has been a strong experience in terms of exposure. The engineering team is collaborative and focused on building scalable, well-structured systems.

Cons

Things can get a little hectic around release cycles, but the team works well together. The crucial deadlines are made clear from the initial days. It’s a good environment to stay hands-on with modern technologies and continue growing technically
