Pros
Ever since the HP/HPE split, I've seen a focus at HP that I haven't seen in 15 years. For the first time, there is a strong identity and razor-sharp focus on core strengths in the PC, Print, and Solutions businesses. The result is the strongest product portfolio I've ever seen from HP and the freedom from having to be all things to all customers. HP has a great legacy in the industry and Silicon Valley. It treats employees and customers with honesty and respect. It's a company that you can take pride in working for.
Cons
The famous "HP Way" culture has largely disappeared. The current culture isn't bad, just bland. Highly consensus-driven culture means lots of meetings and difficulty making decisions. Many product/projects are split between multiple teams and/or business units. In some cases, you have to go all the way to a senior VP or even the CEO to find a single executive with end-to-end authority. This can slow decisions and lead to misaligned incentives between teams.
