Pros
Great for up and coming emergency managers fresh out of college. You will get to respond to disasters and if you are a loud enough wheel you will get to diversify your portfolio. Some managers and upper management is great to work with. However, I would not trade the experience I have gained with the company. I am forever grateful to have the opportunity to work on disasters and get a great career in emergency management.
Cons
So many cons, the upper management will treat you like trash. They will deploy you all over the nation to respond to disasters without any break. The upper management is a joke and non-existent. Upward mobility is a not a thing and you will not get promoted no matter what you do. They will degrade you every step of the way. Also lack of diversity is very strong and there seems to be a lot of toxicity between the divisions of the firm.
