Pros

some airline has amazing teams that are kinda trauma bonded. some managers/supervisors will back you up and way better to deal with karens than ur average retail job where "customer is always right"

Cons

Their advertised pay rate will NOT be the one you get. they will take out crazy amount from ur paycheck as "health insurance contribution" and it is NOT optional. u cant easily opt out of it. some airline direct hires will look down on u and act like u are a second class citizen who needs to be micromanaged every second. while experience with karens can be better than average retail job, airport karens are usually crazier and u are expected to take the abuse if they happens to be frequent flyer or in first class.

Delayed flights make unhappy guests but it’s all for safety

Pros

Good starter job for those in college Flexible schedule, don't need to come in when sick, can basically call off whenever if you ask early enough Easy interview, basically know some geography and how timezones work

Cons

Low pay Too many responsibilities at the pay range You're basically on call and the schedule will suck if you work for a smaller airline in that airport The insurance is UHC, you obviously know what that means (they're NEVER going to pay for treatment)
