Pros
Fun to merchandise and make displays. easy going interaction. Good employee discount. Part time hrs are easy work around other activities. A fun work environment with room to create lasting friendships with co-workers, as well as positive relationships with loyal/consistent customers. A good place to gain experience in customer service and multitasking.
Cons
At minimum wage, its only enough for a bit of extra cash for gas or groceries. Full time doesn't include benefits, and is still minimum wage, (if still only sales associate, not manager). You do a lot of busy work that feels like a waste of time and in the big picture is not really necessary, such as rearranging displays or flip flopping merchandise from one shelf to another to give off the illusion that product has changed.
