Not looking to share the wealth, always pleading poverty (while buying other companies), and not that interested in taking care of employees. In Brunswick, BC& E was well respected and had dedicated long-term employees. Hammond bought them and most of the best people left immediately due to their short-sighted profit-prioritized management style. After a few years, most of the rest have left. Hammond cashed in on their established goodwill and community relations. Hammond does very little to share the wealth, take care of their employees, and therefore, their employees are not very interested in taking care of their customers.
