Pros

Really good training program, $19.50 is the average base pay prior to February 2018. You have the ability to earn a couple dollars here and there in performance incentive pay and shift differential. You can make 70k a year if you work about 65 hours a week, the warehouse guys and women are hard working individuals and great people, most of the immediate superiors are really cool good people, you have the ability to participate in the Early Out Program were if you put up any time over 100% you can leave early so if you run your but off and you pick 600 minutes total in 480 minutes you can leave 120 minutes early and still get paid that time, most guys who EOP daily work about 30 hours a week that's without any overtime, $150 boot voucher and $125 clothing voucher once a year, big family involved Halloween party every year, random raffles with kayaks snowblowers baseball tickets ext given away and BBQs throw out the year, if we get held OT for say a power outage or a snow storm the company will provide pizza or Chinese food, and usually the held time if not the whole shift is double time, the union associates have great team work and work ethic they get the work done no matter what, there is a union to back you up for most problem you might have, there is a decent size Gym with free weight and mechanical weights and showers that's free with 24 hour access, you have the opportunity to get trained within the first year on fork trucks, lots of movement throughout departments and maintenance and all shifts, most associates get first shift schedules once done with training if that's what they prefer, great place for a go getter to make a decent living prior to 2-17-18

Cons

Base pay as of 2-17-2018 is $16 an hour for all new associates, The health benefits go up every year and the coverage isn't really good for the amount of money out of pocket. No profit sharing, no more pensions, the average worker performing at 100% is walking 8-10 miles a shift and picking up and stacking an average of 6500 LBS and hour, forced overtime on weekly basis, all junior union associates work Friday Saturday and Sunday mandatory with 2 days off between Monday and Thursday, the wait on the union seniority list for weekends off is over 20 years with maybe one weekend day off after about 8-12 years seniority if you're lucky. 99% of the associates work 9 or 10 hour shift on Saturdays and Sundays with 7 hour shifts on all other days. Christmas and thanksgiving are the only 2 days the warehouse shuts down, Freezer selection is around 16 degrees dairy meat and produces is between 28-50 degrees, very little communication or team work between union an corporate supervisors, when the warehouse is busy it seems like the orders get heavier and taller but the standard at what you get paid stays the same, 20 minute breaks, lousy and expensive packaged canteen cafeteria food, the warehouse manager is extremely cold hearted and disrespectful don't expect him to shake your hand smile or even look at you for that matter, vacation are picked on a sonority basis so don't expect summer vacation for at least a few years to come, very corporate environment, very little room for mistakes, the company likes to get rid of "used up" selectors in about 7 years.

Pros

Trans-inclusive health insurance and decent wages.

Cons

Culture of abuse and harassment; anti-LGBTQ hate speech is allowed on an unlimited basis so long as there no non-LGBTQ witnesses. Poor camera coverage creates a lot of spaces where things can happen to you that police won't be able to find on film later.
