Pros
Can give you like 16 hour work weeks when you need it
Cons
Barely above minimum wage pay as a supervisor. Any requests for learning new skills, work in other departments or a raise will not be taken seriously. They successfully stagnated my raises each year to where 19 year old cashiers that I supervised were being hired at over a dollar more per hour than me, and with the tiny wages they gave out $1 feels like a lot. There’s just a $1/hour Sunday bonus which isn’t as valuable as it was when it started decades ago and you get no extra bonus to get over worked on New Year’s Eve, the Super Bowl and the day before thanksgiving, they might get some cheap dominos pizza instead of just paying us an extra dollar per hour. Every year you take like a standardized test about yourself then go over it with your managers to make you feel worthless then they discuss your 20 cent raise after. Total dead end job.
