Hanover Research Response
9yThank you for taking time to share your feedback. I am sorry to read that you feel that the work you are producing is low quality. Our clients certainly don't share those views. We have found that some newer staff coming from academia struggle initially with the transition to writing reports for a business audience instead of an academic audience. Many times our clients ask us to distill our findings down to pure insights and recommendations despite the depth of the research itself. I don't think this implies the quality is low but rather that the end product serves a specific purpose and addresses a specific client's question. We are working on improving the perception that teams work in silos and that some teams receive preferential treatment. Once all departments and teams are reintegrated into the new space in July, we hope this co-location will support more cross-team engagement and enable us to work towards shared company goals. We request feedback consistently but realistically cannot act of all suggestions. We received negative feedback from research teams about how their projects were scored and evaluated and have rolled out a change to this recently. Staff mentioned the isolation of the work last year when we started planning our new space and we've incorporated more collaboration space in our new office layout as well as a more open layout in general to encourage teams to work together more frequently. There are plenty of call rooms with phones for staff to use as needed and the telework policy was recently updated to include all departments. As a current employee, I encourage you to speak to your Personal Manager, attend executive coffee hours or reach out directly to the head of your department if you still feel your issues have not been adequately addressed. Employees are encouraged to challenge us but if it is done anonymously on a platform like Glassdoor it is impossible to turn it into a conversation that can influence change.
