Pros
Ability to plan your own work/calendar (which would be great if you didn’t always get given extra work to complete last minute that doesn’t even belong to you, an unnecessary amount of meetings/e-learning and admin tasks to complete. Overtime available occasionally. Annual bonus. Company car/car allowance
Cons
Constant change in banding structure, making it more obscure and meaning that any progression comes down to discretion of management team. High level of staff turnover, leaving remaining staff to pick up the slack (remaining staff are then held accountable and critiqued against metrics/figures of excessive work that has been handed down to them). This then becomes a vicious cycle in terms of staff deciding to leave due to the pressure. Poor IT systems, resulting in excessive admin time. Lack of competencies and training opportunities due to experienced staff leaving and being overall understaffed. Poor annual pay rise that is far under national inflation.
