Pros

Caring, at first. Doesn't last long.

Cons

Unless you're a part of their first batch of employees, you'll be left in the dust. Those employees are invincible. They only hang out with their inner circle, they are allowed to make mistakes, they can switch their roles left and right. If you're not part of that group... good luck! You're on your own.

Thank you for voicing your experience at Hatch. As we grow, there will inevitably be areas for which we can improve upon overall experience and inclusion for all employees. Your feedback is valuable in helping us identify and address areas of concern. While we do value the input and insight that we can gain from our veteran employees, Hatch does not exhibit favoritism. In fact, the majority of our team have only been with us for 18 months or less and have played a vital role in the success and growth of the company. We value the unique perspective that being a veteran employee can bring to the table, but we are inclusive of ALL of our employees. As with any growing start-up, sometimes our needs change quickly, and often without warning. Any internal role changes were made out of necessity to the business and because these employees had previous or complementary experience to the role they were transitioned to. Culture and inclusion is something we value strongly here at Hatch. The pandemic has proved trying but we have been continuously improving upon our customer onboarding, team building, and upskilling, aiming to deliver nothing short of the best experience for all of our employees.

Pros

As a recent hire, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join this company. The engineering culture is strong, with a shared commitment to doing the right thing. The company's rapid growth, particularly in the AI space, has led to an influx of new talent on the engineering team, which has been a great opportunity for personal growth and learning. The upper and middle management are very supportive and seem genuinely invested in fostering a healthy work-life balance, which is a huge plus. If you're considering joining, I’d say: go for it. It's a great place to grow your career while being part of a dynamic and innovative team.

Cons

There's really nothing negative to say when everyone here is so positive.
