Pros

HealthTrust is really trying to reinvest in its culture. It was lost because of rapid growth. The culture is driving changes in how we do business. There is tremendous growth opportunities within HCA.

Cons

VP's are not engaged. Lack of leadership from VP to Director level. Benefits are really bad for an IT group (using hospital PTO plans). Promotion seems to only happen when you don't do your current job well.

Pros

Work life balance is good Healthcare benefits is good

Cons

Travel is a difficult area to work in. It's very cliquey. They "want you to be promoted to recruiter" but heavily misrepresent the position, requirements, and pay. They like to say that you will make 6-figures within your first year, but you will not. Not unless you eat, sleep, and breathe HealthTrust. Keep in mind that while you may do okay, what you make is dependent on who you sign and HCA Healthcare has a terrible reputation in the medical world when it comes to employee treatment and environment. If you LIKE sales and do well in sales, this actually might be for you. You're pitching dreams, not promises, to get a bite on a line and try to get commissions. It's going to be draining. It's going to be tough. It's going to be competitive. There are other travel agencies who treat employees better. If you're interviewing and they promised you greatness, prepare yourself not to get it.
