Pros

In the years I've worked at HT, I have been promoted within my department multiple times. So growth is definitely possible if you have the right attitude and strong work ethic. The management team in DHP value that above everything else! They are also willing to mentor and teach if you are willing to learn and are very understanding in terms of personal life.

Cons

It is a stressful and fast-paced environment where you will be asked to do expedited activities due to hospital demand. At the end of the day, we are working for the hospitals and patients will always be prioritized. There is a high turn-over rate because of this. It is not the kind of office job where you aren't monitored - there are monthly goals and quotas that need to be met. This could be part of the cause for the low morale in the staff as well.

Pros

Work life balance is good Healthcare benefits is good

Cons

Travel is a difficult area to work in. It's very cliquey. They "want you to be promoted to recruiter" but heavily misrepresent the position, requirements, and pay. They like to say that you will make 6-figures within your first year, but you will not. Not unless you eat, sleep, and breathe HealthTrust. Keep in mind that while you may do okay, what you make is dependent on who you sign and HCA Healthcare has a terrible reputation in the medical world when it comes to employee treatment and environment. If you LIKE sales and do well in sales, this actually might be for you. You're pitching dreams, not promises, to get a bite on a line and try to get commissions. It's going to be draining. It's going to be tough. It's going to be competitive. There are other travel agencies who treat employees better. If you're interviewing and they promised you greatness, prepare yourself not to get it.
