Pros

You can interface with many suppliers with whom you could get a new job.

Cons

There are two huge main issues with this company: 1- Leadership is abusive and incompetent. There is no movement from the senior leadership level— they have all been in their positions for many years. When there have been concerns regarding the way leadership treats employees raised internally, those leaders are never fired. I have seen the concerns raised numerous times to deaf ears. Ed Jones has his favorites and will never see the truth of their abilities. 2- Regardless of personal or political views of the COVID-19 situation, leadership has required employees to return to the office for work. Schools are virtual and most reputable organizations are too. This organization will force employees to make a difficult choice— do I leave my child home to do school alone, or do I quit? Ed Jones said he is bringing employees back in the office basically to save their jobs. However, HCA had record breaking revenue in Q2 20. This comes on the heels of HCA and HealthTrust docking employees salaries 10%, 20%, or 30% dependent upon your level throughout the pandemic and the receipt of a gigantic government bailout.

HealthTrust strives to maintain a culture and work environment that is collegial and collaborative. While we were concerned to hear the issues raised in your review, we appreciate this feedback and strongly encourage you to share these with one or more of the following: your supervisor, HR, our confidential ethics & compliance line. Providing our colleagues with resources and channels to report concerns such as those you raised is very important to our leadership and our success as an organization as it allows us to hear about important concerns and take action. Regarding returning to the office, our goal has been to approach this prudently and thoughtfully to ensure safety, while also allowing, as much as possible, for flexibility. We understand our colleagues may be experiencing any number of personal challenges at this time, and our goal has been to work with colleagues to find appropriate solutions that meet their needs.

Pros

Work life balance is good Healthcare benefits is good

Cons

Travel is a difficult area to work in. It's very cliquey. They "want you to be promoted to recruiter" but heavily misrepresent the position, requirements, and pay. They like to say that you will make 6-figures within your first year, but you will not. Not unless you eat, sleep, and breathe HealthTrust. Keep in mind that while you may do okay, what you make is dependent on who you sign and HCA Healthcare has a terrible reputation in the medical world when it comes to employee treatment and environment. If you LIKE sales and do well in sales, this actually might be for you. You're pitching dreams, not promises, to get a bite on a line and try to get commissions. It's going to be draining. It's going to be tough. It's going to be competitive. There are other travel agencies who treat employees better. If you're interviewing and they promised you greatness, prepare yourself not to get it.
