Pros

I have been with Healthtrust for a year and have been in HealthCare staffing for the past three years, this is the best company I have worked for by far. The base salary is fair, the benefits are great, you can start making commission day one. There is no ponzi scheme when it comes to commission, you book a nurse you get paid. Management is very hands off and comes from a position of wanting to help. Management does not compare your numbers to other recruiters and there is no pitting against one another. It is always about you. With Healthtrust I am always working on real positions and not "maybes" or "potential business". The work life balance with this position is also very good.

Cons

It is a big company and has a lot of moving parts and processes. It does take some time to understand the different process.

Pros

Work life balance is good Healthcare benefits is good

Cons

Travel is a difficult area to work in. It's very cliquey. They "want you to be promoted to recruiter" but heavily misrepresent the position, requirements, and pay. They like to say that you will make 6-figures within your first year, but you will not. Not unless you eat, sleep, and breathe HealthTrust. Keep in mind that while you may do okay, what you make is dependent on who you sign and HCA Healthcare has a terrible reputation in the medical world when it comes to employee treatment and environment. If you LIKE sales and do well in sales, this actually might be for you. You're pitching dreams, not promises, to get a bite on a line and try to get commissions. It's going to be draining. It's going to be tough. It's going to be competitive. There are other travel agencies who treat employees better. If you're interviewing and they promised you greatness, prepare yourself not to get it.
