Pros

Met a few great co-workers. Because of these co-workers, it makes the days easier to get through. :o)

Cons

HORRIBLE LEADERSHIP from the top down! Don't ever think outside the box or offer any ideas...leadership WILL stake claim of YOUR suggestions and will make them their own. If you are not politically connected...or part of the admin cult...you are simply treated as a nobody. Too many people stepping on others faces in order to climb corporate ladder. HR leader(s) will make your life miserable if you address concerns. Leadership treads an extremely fine line of retaliating and bullying. If they say, "This is a safe environment to speak confidentially"...RUN!! This is a company that HCA should put under a heavy microscope and seriously consider an overhaul of many in leadership roles. It is a common phrase to hear how many leaders are friends or relatives of other leaders. This is a company that is under the HCA corporate blanket. Embarrassing if HCA prides itself as an "ethical" company. If applying and offered a position...keep your head down. Do the bare minimum b/c nobody, (in leadership), cares. With that, and you can just "make the donuts" you should be fine.

Pros

Work life balance is good Healthcare benefits is good

Cons

Travel is a difficult area to work in. It's very cliquey. They "want you to be promoted to recruiter" but heavily misrepresent the position, requirements, and pay. They like to say that you will make 6-figures within your first year, but you will not. Not unless you eat, sleep, and breathe HealthTrust. Keep in mind that while you may do okay, what you make is dependent on who you sign and HCA Healthcare has a terrible reputation in the medical world when it comes to employee treatment and environment. If you LIKE sales and do well in sales, this actually might be for you. You're pitching dreams, not promises, to get a bite on a line and try to get commissions. It's going to be draining. It's going to be tough. It's going to be competitive. There are other travel agencies who treat employees better. If you're interviewing and they promised you greatness, prepare yourself not to get it.
