Pros

If you can reach out to and meet with everyone on your case-load, the amount of work is reasonable and pay is sufficient. Can increase compensation based on number of services notes created. Management very flexible and willing to engage staff in genuine, honest and ethical way.

Cons

Contract work, very difficult to habitually see clients on case-load resulting in deficits in income, no compensation for travel expenses. Must provide your own computers and work phones. You will make little to no money during holidays.

Pros

Meeting the children and their families.

Cons

Everything else. The training is non-existent. There’s no shadowing. No mileage. You will only get paid for sessions with clients. Look at it like a commission rather than the company caring about whether or not you can help people with mental health. Like I said, I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have experience with QMHP work.
