Pros

Staff are friendly and help each other out when needed since they are all in that mess together. Health insurance is great as long as you pick the PPO.

Cons

Where do I begin? For a hospital that was built about 6 years ago, it is in TERRIBLE physical shape! Electrical outlet faceplates coming loose from the wall, used equipment, fading wall paint, flimsy formica doors, this hospital was obviously built with the cheapest material. At least the original building is. The newer tower seems to have better quality. Do not be fooled by Sam Kaufman, the CEO - he is not as friendly as he seems on promotional videos. The nursing staff is abused with higher than normal ratios. Intermediate care units staff nurses with 5 or more patient each, where the safe ratio should be 3:1. In the ICU expect to have 3 ventilated patients to 1 nurse due to short staffing. This understaffing is a patient safety issue and contributes to poor quality of care. Unit management is a revolving door, not to mention the core nursing staff. No advancement opportunities. Pay is below what other hospitals pay. I would not send my dog to this hospital.
