Pros

One of the best benefits package in the industry. They really give back to the community.

Cons

Brain drain that started about 4 years ago has left the company no choice but to promote unproven young people without any life experiences into management roles that they don't belong in. This is also the result of a CEO who came from Bank of America and in order to look good has in my opinion overly aggressively expanded the Hendrick foot print at the cost of changing the culture that was set by Mr. Hendrick. Mr. Hendrick is an exceptional owner who really believes that his employees are his best asset, so it boggles the mind on how much the company has changed over the last 4 years, or why he has given so much power to Mr Brown and many immediate underlings who have never sold a vehicle in their lives.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
