Pros

I love the people I work with. The other client advisors and desk managers make it worth it to show up.

Cons

CORRUPT. They preach core values but don’t abide by them in the slightest. They act like this is the best place to work, but the pay plan should be illegal. After researching most dealerships in Austin, we have by far the worst pay structure. It is not industry standard. This company WILL lose their good talent and become a 2 star store, at best. They are more focused on hiring a ton of people and not taking care of the employees that devote their life to the business. This company will work you to death, expect the world, demand that you provide a premium experience, while paying you the BARE MINIMUM. You are nothing but a number here. If you want to get into the automotive business, go elsewhere.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
