Pros

The onboarding process that this company has set up to help integrate you on your team is great! Process documentation for daily responsibilities makes learning so much easier. The team really works as a family rather than a job. They make you feel so welcome and are willing to help out any way they can. The job has great health care benefits! Very understanding with time off requests. Have the ability to get knowledge in other parts of the company if you are interested in further learning about the company.

Cons

Sometimes can be stressful like any job, but lots to always be done.

Pros

I have worked for Hendrick Automotive Group for 13 years and still enjoy coming to work every day and hope to retire from here. There are many many team members here with 20, 25, 30, 35+ years of service which tells you that we mean it when we say "People are the company's most important asset." Hendrick University (HU) is one of the best aspects of the company. HU provides training throughout all levels of the organization which tells you we invest in our people. HU supports you meeting your personal and professional goals at the same time supporting the goals of the organization. We offer Technician apprenticeships in addition to paid training, tuition reimbursement, and tool vouchers. We offer comprehensive and affordable benefits. If you are career oriented, hard working, live with integrity, customer focused, and a servant leader, you will be successful here. The opportunities are really endless - the sky is the limit.

Cons

The 401(k) match could be more robust to be competitive with other organizations. The company has made a number of improvements in our Paid Time Off plans over the last 13 years but would encourage Paid Time Off plans to be reviewed annually and continue these improvements to attract and retain great talent.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
