Pros

I’ve been a sales associate for the past 13 years at Honda Cars of Rock Hill. I also worked at City Chevrolet as a Service Writer for 7 years. Both dealerships are part of the Hendrick Automotive Group. Rick Hendrick has continued for years to go above and beyond for his employees. When the Covid pandemic began he did not lay off one employee and even made sure everyone’s pay wouldn’t be less than the year prior. My General Sales manager Joel Suggs has gone above and beyond for all the employees at Honda Cars of Rock Hill. I have seen a lot of long term employees retire and some still working with over 25 years with the company! That is why Hendrick Automotive Group is so special, where you are name not a number. Cons

At times since you’re in a customer service realm there can be stressful situations come up when vehicles breakdown or situations where parts on back order, but Mr. Hendrick has a list of Core Values to be servant leaders and work together as a team to overcome any obstacles.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
