Toxic Work Environment - Commercial Account Manager Hendrick Automotive Group Employee Review

Pros

There are no pros for me except they let you spin a wheel once a month to get a bonus.

Cons

There was no training, no support, inappropriate comments for days, bait and switch culture, I could go on and on. I was pushed out by being bullied because I told my manager’s boss about his inappropriate behavior and they did nothing but displace me and leave me to sit all day without any direction at all. HR covered up for this as well. I just never went back.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
