Pros
Coworkers are very enjoyable and make the job tolerable day to day
Cons
No formal training or room for growth. Favoritism decides your paycheck, not your worth ethic and integrity towards the customer. This company takes advantage of South Carolina’s lack of labor laws by making technicians work outside of normal hours just to get by without having any full disclosure of pay for hours flagged. Flagged hours by job are not available to view for technicians on dispatching program or paystub. Free labor is expected here and more is always asked for. Program is set up so technicians can get shorted on hours/pay. Any “incentives” offered are used against you when a future conflict arises. Management turns a blind eye to dishonest technicians while they receive praise for generating the most revenue-even if they provide shotty work. Management “double dips” by making some employees pay “taxes” when a wheel spin bonus is won so that they can write it off. Very poor communication between technicians and management unless everyone is reprimanded as a whole. Pay is extremely poor for what kind of skills and competency a proficient technician must posses. I came here with hopes to grow as a technician and be able to build a successful career with what I thought at the time was an excellent company. In return, my passion for fixing cars has greatly diminished and I am left feeling that the value I provide to help change the stigma of dishonesty in the automotive industry is disregarded. There is no trust amongst thieves.
