Pros

Depending on who you are "pros" can be different. Benefits are decent and education programs are okay.

Cons

If you bring up a concern like charging a customer thousands of dollars for parts not used they will roll their eyes and get emotional and fire you without warning. They care about their numbers more than anything else. The GM acts like a dictator and will backstab you if you bring up a concern. Seems like this behavior stems from upper management.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
