Pros

A stunning building and flexible time off.

Cons

This place has a number of significant issues. There are talented individuals who should be leading from behind the desk but are never given the chance. The sales managers seem to have landed their positions more by chance than by merit, lacking the skills and interpersonal abilities necessary to effectively lead. If this store truly wanted to excel, they would recognize and elevate their most capable employees to the roles they deserve. Without this shift, they're at risk of losing their top performers, who will inevitably seek opportunities elsewhere. Having spent years here, I can confidently say that the sales managers currently in place don’t possess the skill set required to even be successful client advisors, let alone lead the team effectively.

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
