Managers have a difficult time recommending you for promotion. They rather tell you during review that you are doing well instead of telling upper management that you are an asset to the company. It is difficult to transition into full-time status from part time. The company rathers hire people from the outside than promote within. The company does not offer any benefits to part-time besides the discounts There is no incentives for employees to perform better on the job
