This is a decent company to work for, but they aren't keeping up with employee perks. - Anonymous employee Herff Jones Employee Review

Pros

Work hours are mostly 40 per week. ESOP is good if you've been there a few years. They seem to work to promote employees from within. They are willing to give employees training and development opportunities.

Cons

Benefits package is so-so. Times you can work are fairly structured and there are no telecommuting options. Promotions generally come with no pay increase. Office space is fairly dated with most employees in cube farms that don't see the light of day.

Pros

My immediate supervisors were great. My teams were amazing. Even the temporary staff we hired for the season were usually pretty awesome. 11 paid holidays. 3 weeks vacation after 5 years... A week PTO .. that's 31 work days as paid time off! And if you schedule it right during holidays you could be off for 3 weeks and only use a week vacation 😂

Cons

Upper Management took the lean manufacturing process too far. Six Sigma processes have their place and can be beneficial when applied properly. However when it came to redistribution of responsibility and telling employees they would now be responsible for not only A, B, C, but L, M,N, O and Z as well with no increase in pay or benefits. They also expected everyone to not only accept their new responsibilities but did not allow for any additional time in the day to complete the extra work. I thought that's taking it a bit too far.
