There are no positives about this place except perhaps some of the coworkers are nice.
Cons
There are so many to list!! This is the most cutthroat sales environment I have ever seen. If you don't sell, by ONLY using their script, they will fire you! Pay is sooooo low for the amount of stress, rude customers, and horrible upper management it ridiculous. You can literally make more money working at some of the burger places in town. There are chances to bonus, but they make the minimums nearly impossible to meet that usually only 1-3 people will actually qualify for that bonus. So that means the rest of the reps just gave the company over 50k that month in free money that you wont get to see a penny of. And for all your hard work at making the company free money, they reward you by writing you up for not making the bonus and poor sales numbers. We follow the "script" and people still don't buy. How is punishing us going to make us do better???? If people don't want to take that upgrade or damage protection or spend more on gas than they can get it outside, why should we be punished. Beware any people thinking of applying.....There is a reason why we have lost over 30 reps in the last 2 years and 5 managers in an 8 month time span. There is a reason!!!!! DO NOT EVEN THINK OF DOING IT!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! Upper management will strip you of all of your dignity and self worth. They will turn any problem and make it your fault. The moral and self esteem at Hertz is the lowest In any job I have had. Other locations have unionized and that is exactly what needs to be done here so they stop their demoralizing practices!!!
