Pros

Was able to work remotely. Decent benefits.

Cons

Pay not competitive. No company loyalty at all. Older workers more often were targeted for layoffs. I put in 37 years and all of a sudden I am irrelevant? Once notified, no management support to navigate through layoff process and no feedback. Whole process was very sterile.

Work life balance. Vast portfolio to sell. Management that comes from Cisco and knows exactly what they are doing.

Cons

Probably compensation compared to others, but the stability is more important

Strong colleagues who are genuinely good to work with. Well-maintained offices and a comfortable working environment.

Cons

Internal politics take up more energy than they should. Technical decisions are frequently overridden by management preference rather than settled on technical merit, which slows things down and can leave engineers feeling their input carries little weight.
