Pros
1. No hidden component in salary. Whatever is promised in offer letter will be given including variable pay. 2. Good amenities at least in chennai office. Its completely green, is equipped with a good cafeteria, has gym with all the necessary equipments and a shuttle court for employees relaxment. A well maintained campus overall with an excellent library. All these are totally free for the employees. 3. Bus service charge is nominal when compared with other companies. Can avail one day pass if you are a weekend traveller and dont have a bus pass to go to railway station or other places. 4. Free hot drinks ( boost, horlicks, badam milk, green tea) apart from vending machine tea. Free snacks every evening if one stay past 7 pm. 5. Onsite opportunities are plenty if you are lucky enough to be in good projects. 6. Can wear anything to office on any day and nobody will question you. Leave policy is also good.
Cons
1. No clear direction about company's vision is passed on to the employees. No one knows what is happening with the business deals. All of a sudden there are no projects and people are fired in bunches whereas after few quarters there is a surge in projects and a dearth to find good people. 2. Admin team and finance team work as in a government organization. The cafeterias operating are PATHETIC to say the least. No process is automated as you have to submit all the necessary bills in hard copy. 3. Very incompetent middle management who have settled down here from past decade or so. Some are simply rude enough to spurn you off while some insult your intelligence. The freshers who join here with lot of enthusiasm lose their motivation as they are ping ponged to multiple technologies thus becoming jack of all trades and master of none. 4. Very few challenging projects. Most are support/maintanence projects and need very average skills to perform the daily tasks. 5. Appraisal process is a joke which pays you peanuts after appraising you for nearly 18 months. 6. No baselining of salary. You can be a software engineer and draw 2 times the salary of a technical architect. 7. Bringing in freshers by making them sign a bond and not knowing what to do with them. Sending unworthy and incompetent people for deputation/onsite trainings while the worthy ones slog their back off. 8. Quarterly maintenance of 9.15 hours, not meeting on which your earned leaves are deducted. 9. Benefits like mediclaim not upto the mark. 3 months notice period which is hard to buy out.
